Into astronomy

00:00 / 00:38

It started same as always:

you getting a magazine

on it. Your new obsession,

the universe – all the space

you needed to distract you

from all you would never be.

You saved for a telescope.

Nothing astronomical,

just one with power enough

to blow up the moon; resolve

its scars to canyons; make sense

of light peeping in at night’s

moth holes. Looking up, scanning

a sky filled with absences,

I wonder which one you are.
